We have involved in RWS, which is a tool to ensure that wool comes from sheep that have been raised with respect to their Five Freedoms, that the land has been managed responsibly and to provide a robust chain of custody system to validate the source of the material for all product claims.
RAS provides the industry with a tool to recognize the best practices of farmers; ensuring that alpaca fiber comes from farms that have a progressive approach to managing their land, practice holistic respect for animal welfare of the alpaca and respect the Five Freedoms of animal welfare.
Criteria: Containing 70% or more organic (or in conversion) ﬁbres. The balance, up to 30%, may be made of non-organic ﬁbres. Regenerated and synthetic ﬁbres are limited to 10%. Blending of organic and non-organic is not permitted.
We are an official member of the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol®. The Trust Protocol® sets a new standard for more sustainably grown cotton. Aligned with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, it brings quantifiable and verifiable goals and measurement to more sustainable cotton production and drives continuous improvement in six key sustainability metrics – land use, soil carbon, water management, soil loss, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy efficiency.
The Trust Protocol underpins and verifies U.S. cotton’s sustainability progress through sophisticated data collection and independent third-party verification. It provides brands and retailers the critical assurances that the cotton fiber of their supply chain is more sustainably grown with lower environmental and social risk.
We are a licensed Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) cotton supplier, which means we can offer traceable and ethical cotton sources. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future.
We have developed a range of environmentally friendly qualities using LENZING™ fibres such as LENZING™ ECOVERO™, TENCEL™ Lyocell. All blended qualities with LENZING™ fibres are tested and identified by Lenzing.
